Outfit - Parka

Good thing about this cold weather, I can wear all my coats. Today was a rainy day so I chose my hooded parka from Mango. Leather or faux leather pants are always a good way to keep yourself warm in winter and no these shoes are not the warmest ones I have but I'm obsessed with them.

Outfit - Black Cold

Back in the Netherlands, freezing and sick from the moment the plane landed in Amsterdam. It's a bit unreal going from sunny Dubai to the cold winter in Holland.
I'm layering to keep myself warm and today is the first winter look this year on the blog.
All black with a bit of grey, brrr.

Wish I Wore - Orange leather

Ph. Net-a-porter edited by me

I got inspired by my last inspiration post to use the colour orange. Although orange is a difficult colour for most skintones, I really love this leather jacket. It's definitely a statement piece and a great substitute to the basic black leather jacket that almost every girl has hanging in their closet.
Away with the black. Today I Wish I Wore an orange leather jacket.

Cutout silk-crepe top - Rick Owens | Abel pointed patent-leather pumps - Jimmy Choo |

Inspiration - Street Style

Ph. Style.com

Street style makes my fashion heart beat faster. These detail shots were shot on the streets of freezing New York. Love how these ladies incorporated colour into their looks. I'm preparing myself for my trip to Holland and I'm always a big fan of using a bit of colour in the winter.

Outfit - Floral

When I first moved to Dubai I never thought I would say "I'm cold", because lets be honoust the temperatures don't really get below 20 degrees during the day. But yes I've become spoiled and I'm now complaining about being cold and having to wear a jumper or a jacket. Not to worry, this weekend it's going to be beach weather again and I'm going to enjoy it to the fullest.

I'm wearing my pastel denim jeans with a floral print top and my furry jumper to keep me warm for when the evening hits. It's all about layering.

Outfit: Floral print blouse - Zara | Pastel mint jeans - Zara | Furry jumper - H&M trend |
Darcy bag - Alexander Wang | Heels - New Look | Sunglasses - Lanvin for H&M |

Outfit - Leather vest

This leather Acne look a like vest has been hanging in my closet for almost a year now and I'm finally taking it out. It's not an easy garment to wear for me because it tends to look very boyish and that isn't the look I normally go for.
However I am a fan of black and white looks and this is how I wore it.

Leila Loves - Food

Yes, people who love fashion also love food, although most people think we don't.
Like every other girl in the world I try to watch what I eat but I can't help to indulge in all the great food Dubai has to offer. Today I'm sharing 3 of my current favorite places.

Leila's Restaurant

Leila's restaurant, need I say more? Just like everyone else I love it when I find a place that carries the same name as me. Leila's restaurant, in Mirdif city centre, offers all the finest dishes from the Lebanese cuisine and soon they will also have outdoor seating and sheesha (waterpipe) at their new location near the Burj Khalifa.

Sophie's Cafe

If you are looking for healthy and organic food Sophie's cafe, located on the Palm, is the place to be. I tried out everthing they have on their menu and they even had me try a vegtable(!) smoothie. I'm not the biggest fan of salades, when I think of salads I think of a lot of lettuce and tomato which doesn't make my mouth water. Sophie's cafe made me change my mind completely, the salads are my favorite thing on their menu. To keep my sugar level up I also went for a delicious cake from their pastry collection, sssshhh.

Cafe Gerard

Cafe Gerard, a French patisserie, had me make a cake. Not just any cake, a tart tropezienne. Chef Gerard showed us how to do it and then helped us prepare our very own. This cafe has one of the best views of the Burj Khalifa (where I shot this outfit). Its a great place to have lunch or just to stop by for a drink + something sweet and enjoy the view.
