The first day of the shows I wore a simple black and white outfit. Well I never really wear just black and white, I always try to put some colour in to the black and white look. Sometimes colourful lips are enough but for this look I also added my green clutch from ASOS.

My two favorite shows from Dubai fashion week day one were Ekta Singh for Mumbai Se and Easton Pearson.
Ekta Singh showed a colourful collection full of sparkly and flowy dresses, great for an evening out here in Dubai.
Easton Pearson, an Australian duo, showed a ready-to-wear and a beachwear collection full of bold colours, grafic prints and funky accessories.

Dubai Fashion Week - The Opening

I have never seen an opening of a fashion week like this.
Dubai fashion week opened with a desert runway and the first model riding in on a horse wowing the crowd. We were entertained with local music and dance and shown pieces out of the participating designers collections.
At the after party I snapped some of the runway looks and beautiful models up close.

Inspiration - Leather and Red

Leather vests are back and they have definitely caught my eye.


I love the edgy look it gives an outfit, especially if worn with a dress.


Don't want to go for a black leather vest? How about this stunning blue leather vest from Acne


Red is not my favorite color, I'm more a maroon/burgundy kinda girl, but it's starting to grow on me.


To wear these red on red looks you'll have to have some courage because you won't go unnoticed. Would you wear an all red outfit?

Outfit - Burgundy leopard

This is what I wore to the Kim Kardashian press conference and to the Abu Dhabi Film Festival VIP lounge. I wanted to wear this blouse with black pants but then I thought why not try my burgundy coated jeans from Zara. Burgundy is one of my favorite colors for fall/winter and animal print is in my opinion still not out of style.

Event - Meet Kim Kardashian

What better place for a press conference than the Atlantis Asateer tent, the location and the view are breathtaking.
Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner were in Dubai to open the first Millions of Milkshakes store in the UAE. So if you want to taste her milkshake, head down to Millions of Milkshakes in the Dubai Mall. Don't worry ladies, Kim chose a nutritious milkshake with lots of fruit.
It was fun to meet Kim even though I'm not the biggest Kardashian fan. Kim looked beautiful as always and she was very happy to be in Dubai.

I asked Kim what she thinks of the traditional Abayas that a lot of women wear here in the UAE and if she will wear an Abaya herself now that she is in Dubai.
She said that she would love to wear one and guess what.. that night she was spotted wearing an Abaya by UAE brand Nabrman.

Event - Mulberry SS12 preview

Mulberry still loves Grass Green and Hot Fuchia (and so do I)








Today I visited the Mulberry store in Boutique 1 for a preview of their new collection. The Mulberry Spring Summer 2012 collection, inspired by the seaside, is based around a neutral colour palette. The Summer Khaki Large Evelina Satchel that I'm holding in the photo is definitely one of my favorites, what's yours?
